Steel truss footbridge

Independent external control of the structural and connection designs for this 15m long steel footbridge. The evaluation of buckling length for the steel truss top chord was the biggest issue in terms of reviewing the design that had been done by our client. All elements of the footbridge were checked according to relevant Australian and New Zealand structural steel standards. The connections were also checked by using nonlinear FEA methods.
